The Rūdnininkai Forest is part of one of the largest forest massifs in Lithuania, the Rūdnininkai Forest, which covers an area of 26,000 ha. The biotope complex of the forest is one of the most valuable territories of the district. In the forest, you experience other feelings you have never experienced before. Continental dunes rise up to 30 m high at Žygmantiškės. The open sandy plain, formed by the fires caused by the constant bombs, is a unique formation of continental sands.
