It is mentioned as a Unitarian church in 1830 in the visitation of the church of Turgeliai. The present church was built in 1928 and the parish was founded in 1945.
The church is tall, single-nave, with a projecting square tower on the front side. The interior of the church is not very rich, but it has a few artistic monuments. One of them is the painting ‘Marija Sopulingoji’ by A. Valinavičius in 1834. The list of cultural monuments includes iron ornamental crosses in the churchyard, which is enclosed by a stone wall, and the gate. There are also 2 wooden sculptures of angels from the 19th century
