The oak has a beautiful, broadly spreading, conical and low-lying crown. It is a typical example of a tree that grew in an open landscape. “The crown of ‘free-growing’ trees starts low, is broad, dense and has many thick branches.

This is because individual trees do not have to compete for light and space. They can ‘spread’ their branches wide to get more light. The trunk of the oak tree is 4.90 m long, about 1.6 m in diameter and about 24 m high. The Stakai Oak is estimated to be about 1000 years old.
