Historical sources first mention Poškonys in the Acts of the GDL of 1713. At that time, the village belonged to the Arlaviščių manor, the landlord Jonas Zemla. According to the layout of the homesteads and buildings, the village is a street, grid, built on one side.
Since ancient times, people have decorated their houses and homesteads with their own handicrafts. The old street is architecturally and historically valuable. The houses date from the 19th century.
